Joint Formation Session of Calvary Ministries & Little Company of Mary Health Care
A Joint Formation session for Calvary Ministries and Little Company of Mary Health Care was held at the Shangri-La Hotel Sydney on Tuesday, 19 and Wednesday 20 July 2016.
There were 17 participants consisting of 1 Members’ Council, 5 Calvary Ministries Directors and 8 LCMHC Directors. The Executive Officer of Calvary Ministries and the NCEO and NDoM of LCMHC were also in attendance.
The appropriate theme for the 1 ½ days was – “The Winds of Change – lessons and messages from the Year of Mercy”.
The facilitator for the session was Fr Andrew Bullen sj and other presentations were conducted by:
- Sr Elizabeth Gilroy LCM: Reflections on Mercy and the emergence of the LCM Australian Story
- Mr Francis Sullivan, CEO of the Truth, Justice and Healing Council: Impact of the Royal Commission on the Church
- Fr Hoa Trung Dinh sj and Fr Ian Waters: Emerging Challenges in Ethics & Canon Law which will impact on our Mission as a health, aged and community care provider. How does it impact on what we do as a Ministry?
Included in the program was a private Mass and Missioning Ceremony for the group which was held in The Crypt of St Patrick’s Church. Bill d’Apice, Chair – Calvary Ministries Board, led the proceedings for the Missioning of Jennifer Stratton as a Director of LCMHC. The ceremony also included the recommitment of those LCMHC Directors that were present to continue in their important role of nurturing and promoting the mission, vision and values of LCMHC.
