A Joint Formation session for Calvary Ministries and Little Company of Mary Health Care was held at Mary MacKillop Place, North Sydney, on Friday, 11 and Saturday 12 July 2014.
There were 19 participants consisting of 5 Members’ Council, 5 Calvary Ministries Directors, 7 LCM Health Care Directors, the Executive Officer of Calvary Ministries and the NCEO of LCM Health Care.
This was the first Joint Formation Session to include all three groups, and the appropriate theme was “Working together for Mission”.
Sr Anne Sheridan LCM began the proceedings with an opening prayer and reflection, and was then followed by presentations by:
Sr Jennifer Barrow LCM – Charism of Mary Potter and its relevance to LCM Health, Aged and Community Care today and tomorrow.
Mons. Tony Doherty – Catholic Identity – maintaining, strengthening, monitoring.
Julie Morgan & Tom Ristoski, ACU – Integration of Mission – what is the business of Mission?
Fr Noel Connolly – Evangelii Gaudium
John Mackay and Rebecca Davies – 2014 LCM Spirituality and Heritage Pilgrimage – feedback and reflection on what the pilgrimage meant to them.
David Penny – Governance roles and responsibilities

Saturday’s session commenced with mass in the Mary MacKillop Chapel, which was celebrated by Father Ian Waters, a Director of Calvary Ministries. The service also included the missioning ceremony for Sr Kathleen Cotterill LCM, as a Director of Calvary Ministries, along with the recommitment of the Directors of Calvary Ministries. The Missioning was performed by Sr Bernadette Fitzgerald LCM, Chair – Members’ Council.
