2015 Joint Formation Session of Calvary Ministries & Little Company of Mary Health Care
A Joint Formation session for Calvary Ministries and Little Company of Mary Health Care was held at Mary MacKillop Place, North Sydney, on Thursday, 24 and Friday 25 July 2015.
There were 21 participants consisting of 4 Members’ Council, 5 Calvary Ministries Directors, 8 LCMHC Directors, the Executive Officer of Calvary Ministries and the National Chief Executive Officer of LCMHC. The newly appointed Executive Officer of Calvary Ministries also joined the group for the 2 days. The National Director of Mission of LCMHC facilitated the program.
The theme of the two days was “Who are we? Why are we?”. Presentations were conducted by:
- Sr Michele Connolly rsj: From Cana to Calvary
- Sr Elizabeth West LCM: The Charism of the Little Company of Mary – What were the essentials for the Founder?
- Fr Noel Connolly: The hallmarks of the Church: the vision of Pope Francis
- David Penny, Director – Calvary Ministries: How does the Charism speak to us today?
- Sue Hanson, National Director Clinical Services – LCMHC: Holistic End of Life Care: Calvary’s Vision

Included in the program two separate Missioning Ceremonies were conducted:
Sr Bernadette Fitzgerald LCM, Chair – Members’ Council led the proceedings for the Missioning of David Penny as a Director of Calvary Ministries, along with the recommitment of the Directors of Calvary Ministries.
Bill d’Apice, Chair – Calvary Ministries Board led the proceedings for the Missioning of David Catchpole as a Director of LCMHC, this also included recommitment of the Directors of LCMHC that were present.
